five years ago

just five years ago, today to be exact, at this very moment, i was on a first date with thomas.  we were still at the restaurant at this point.

everything was perfect.  he got me flowers, wild not roses.  he picked a restaurant that he loved and wanted to share with me.  we had gobs of food and wine.  i got tipsy.

we went back to his place and listened to the gypsy kings and talked while sitting on his couch.  and finally, around 2 in the morning, he kissed me.  and we kissed.  and we kissed.  and at 8 in the morning, i left his place, still an honorable woman.

i was seeing sparkles five years ago this night.  this moment.  and we have come a long way since then.  and boy do i still see sparkles when i look at him.
