silver platter

Img_0139i have one question.  how?

now.  initially, it looks insignificant.  i mean, how is such a simple question.

but when someone writes a book that was clearly written to be sold to the movie makers.  and it is a bestseller and people have read the book over and over again, all the while saying they can't wait for the movie.

so.  how?  how can you mess up the one thing that is handed to you?  handed to you on a silver platter.

i haven't seen it.  but from all the reviews, i am not so sure that i want to.  and really, if you read the book, it reads like a movie script.  how?

Yeah, and with Ron Howard directing, you'd think...

*sigh*

I'll still probably see it, but I know it'll be dissappointing.

A movie date with my sweetheart yesterday and we opted to go with POSEIDON. Don't know if it was a better choice, but I can't imagine it was worse either...

DA VINCI CODE is a 'maybe on dvd' option for me.

I wonder if it's that people are just so attached to the book that they can't accept it on DVD. Purists, you know.

As for me, I tried really hard to read the book, but twenty pages in and I couldn't get over how poorly written it was. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call a snob. :)

leah, i agree his prose is rather lacking, but he has a pretty decent formula. and at least he doesn't cheat by withholding clues from you...

we went and saw it this weekend and i must say that i was bored with it. there were some vrey cool images, but overall, tautou and hanks were flat and lackluster.
