up and down and all around

sorry again for the lack of photo.  it was actually a goal for today, but i think you will forgive me after this "brief" explanation.

so.  thomas had a bad day with a colleague who is being, let's say, themself.  anonymity is of the utmost importance here.  so he came "home" after lunch today clearly upset since they had had an argument.  and he wore himself out to the point that the poor guy needed a nap.  clue one that things are going bad.  thomas does not sleep in the daylight.  he would make a horrible vampire.

we then proceed to take a segway, yes, segway (open parenthetical statement: you have to try this at some point, it is the most fun and entertaining.  and it isn't about the tour, it is about the segway!!!), but i have to ask the guide to stop for a moment because thomas looks like he is going to pass out from the heat.  clue number two that hings are going downhill, thomas never looks like he is going to pass out, even when it is hot.

so after the segway tour, we go back "home" and he lies down and takes a nap.  i do the same thing because, well, i love napping.  i am awoken, of course by the bad colleague which was not that person's fault but when you are upset with someone, somehow, someway, they sense the nap and proceed to interrupt it.  clue number three that my karma is off somehow.  i'll sacrifice pigeon tomorrow.

well.  thomas wakes up.  he has cramps.  and well.  well.  then it happened.  he threw up.  all over the bathroom.  i had to use my best french to get a mop because there is no way in the world that i would have someone to clean that up.  so... i got him into the tub and back into bed after mopping.

he thinks, and i say thinks, he is feeling better after throwing up.  but oh how i was wrong.  so.  i ended up running a quick errand for him and answered everyone's questions about how thomas was doing.

i get back.  he has a fever which is never a good sign.  in france, there is this system called sos medecin which will send a doctor to you when you are essentially dying or too lazy to get up and go to the doctor.  cough.  cough.  this was not the case for thomas.  the doctor came.  he was sweet.  i heart doctors.

i then had to walk across town to the one pharmacy that was open for emergencies.  that's right, across town.  it took me thirty minutes to get back.  he took some meds and then wanted a sprite.  so i went to get him a sprite and me some food since i hadn't eaten since lunch.  although i have been told that i look like i don't eat good food.  (not sure how to interpret that)

here i am.  he's asleep.  tired.  sore.  fevery.  headachey.  throwuppy.  all this for a 24 hour bug.  isn't traveling grand?
