it's a jungle out there
i have so much work to do it boggles the mind. it has finally occurred to me, just now, as in right this second, that i did not have a summer.
i taught immediately after school let out for the spring semester, then proceeded to go to france and work on a grant and then had the study abroad program.
i am making no complaints about the time in france, save the bronchitis that was brilliant, but i am saying that i did not get to just sit around on my a$$ for a couple of months and be bored to tears.
and now, i have just finished cleaning my office, moving some furniture out, am looking for some more furniture, getting lesson plans together, doing some crap i don't want to do, getting some more stuff together, etc.
this, post right here, is by sheer definition, not interesting because it reads like everyone's life. but for once, i would love to post about how i vegged on the couch all day and watched horrible movies...

Take a deep breath and step away from the sofa. The Pity Wagon will be there any minute. It will contain a replacement for you -- namely, me. I will bravely take on your miserable summer, while you can live my work-a-day experience. I will not, however, sleep with Thomas.
