i just watched...

i just watched hard candy.  since the website is not quite what i have in mind, yet... i am doing all reviews here in a regular post.

so.  hard candy is an extraordinarily intense movie to watch.  it makes me think of closet land with its heavy dialogue, and well, not knowing who to feel for the most.  the cinematography is very well done which only adds to the intensity.

i know you are asking, what is so intense about it, and i would argue that for a guy, there is quite a bit that is intense, but as a girl, the dramatic pauses, the silence, the quiet, the holding your breath while you desperately seek any visual clue that you are constantly being denied.

i highly recommend this film but it is not for the light at heart.  it plays with you.  it challenges.  it hurts.  it is well done.
