no photos please
so, this spring i have been the envy of the entire neighborhood. the entire city really. my tulips have been STUNNING. i won't bore you with a photo because that is totally cliché and i don't need to validate how AWESOME they are by forcing you to stare at them and then paw at the screen because you want to cut them.
they turned out to be the most stunning red and full and perfectly placed. today i finally cut them and got a full vase and then managed to have enough for a bouquet to take to a neighbor and giver her a full vase as well. i know people walk by and envy my tulips, i have been told as much. they should see the calla lilies in the back.

Glad you have tulips. They're my favorite, and I keep forgetting to plant them in the fall.
you actually don't have to plant any bulb in the fall. you can plant them at any time. however, their first year, they may not bloom as nicely. just make sure to feed them really well in the fall and then again in the spring.
