thoughts: December 2005 Archives

at christmas, children are alive with anticipation.  anticipation for gifts, santa, food, cookies, the next toy, whatever the next big thing is.

this evening at our home, t and i host my family for the holidays.  and my cousin's children were in full movement as you can see by the photo.  but what is fascinating, as fast as time goes for adults-- there is never enough time-- and as slow as it goes for kids-- it takes forever for all the big things to come-- we move at opposite speeds.

thomas, as still as a statue had no idea i was taking a photo.  and wasn't posing, yet he is still watching the hustle and bustle of the boys passing out the christmas gifts. 

merry christmas to everyone out there.  and if you celebrate something else, merry that to you.  i am exhausted and off to bed, as soon as i can muster enough strength to get up and get there.
