rereading, its the new tv

Img_0127i think i am going to give up on reading the snack thief.  it isn't doing it for me.

so.  in an effort to get myself out of the i can find nothing to read slump, --and yes, i have been to a bookstore lately-- i am going to reread some of my old favorites.  i know them.  i have read them.  i love them so.  i may get something new out of them.

why is it i can't find anything at the bookstore?  i pick books up.  looks interesting.  open the first page.  read it.  eh.  nothing is inspiring this inquiring mind.  i hate it when i lose focus and i want it back.

i am definitely in the mood for something exciting.  intriguing.  shocking.  thought provoking.

lobster woes

Img_1606so.  i need to tell you a story.  one that is frightening.  horrific.

a while back, a colleague of mine was going to travel up north to new england.  yes.  i know you are thinking the same thing, the land of the lobster.

if you are vegetarian, this is a horror story.

yada yada yada.  i mentioned the lobster.  i was sent an article about whether it is humane or not to cook lobster one way over another.  blah blah blah.  it mentions mating for life and all sorts of really sad ideas.  let's just say, it affected me.

since then, i have pondered if i could get over my lobster issue.

so, digging through thomas' bookmarks to find interesting blogs, cause he finds some really cool stuff, and if i read you, you can thank thomas.  he found you.  pointed you out to me knowing i would fall in love and want to have your baby.  anyway.  i found this site.  and today's feature sealed the deal for me.

no lobster for me.  it is the waking up part that did it for me.  the trying to save oneself.  poor lobster.  damn.  lobster is tasty.

Img_1609i am being forcibly cuddled by a cat.  in the winter, the cats use me for what little body heat i actually produce.  they then in turn, purr and heat me up.  it is truly a symbiotic relationship.

so yeah.  i am a golden globe slut.  i know you are publicly appalled and secretly thinking that scarlett j has really big boobs.  you know, she is only 5' 4".  i know, we imdb-ed her.  yep.  short and big boobs.  i swear, some women have all the luck.

i have decided that the stars should not get to wear such beautiful jewelry, but instead, all of it should be given to me.  the princess should get to have it all.  i saw way to much pretty sparklies that would look so pretty on me.  even if my hair is in a baseball cap, i am wearing my pjs, i would totally wear those sapphires, emeralds, bling bling.  i think i deserve all the bling out there.   i need more bling.

bling is fun to type.  totally.

yeah, you know you want it

Img_1456school is back in.  yep.  the spring semester is amazing.  i have two preps, and one is a no brainer.  plenty of time to prep for this summer.

so, i was having the great debate in my head again today.  baby or just spend all that money on the person i know i love.  me.  thomas fits into this equation as well, but lets face it, i love me.  i love to spoil me.  i want stuff.

and thomas recounting a discussion he had at the office has most def fueled this debate.  he was discussing why some of our colleagues have this wonderful lifestyle.  they have no kids.  not to say the ones who don't have them don't get the usual "joy and rewards" of offspring, but you have to admit, funding is different.

so i debate in my head, where do i draw the line?  what do i want so badly that i would trade the kid thing?  making a list, baby on one side, does all the other stuff- for me- ever mean more  than baby?

i love you, typepad...
