Img_2113the past month has been, well, par for the course for me.  i  have a bit of house fever and a touch of baby fever.  neither of which can be fixed in the immediate future and one of which, according to thomas, won't be fixed until the other happens.

part of the problem of baby problem is that for me, it would also be utilitarian.  you see, i have problems and the internet is not providing me with any answers, nor is it letting me know that other women experience the same problems.

this is not where i tell you about my female problems but where i tell you that if i were t get pregnant, then i would have 9 months free of womanly issues.  granted, it would be a trade for a whole new set of problems, but my doctor did once say to me that some women don't get "normal" until after they have had a baby.  (normal is my word, not his).

at this point in my life, 20 years invested in being "a woman," i think i am ready for a vacation from these problem.  even if it means i have signed on to bigger problems.  great story to tell your kid: momma brought you into the world just so she wouldn't have a period, that's why we named you "relief."

i just give 'em play-do

Img_2102_2thomas and i had the luxury to sit in on a foreign language class this summer.  if you are curious as to what his facial expression is stating, well, let me tell you.  his face is stating that he is in pain and misery for the kids who were learning absolutely nothing but he was going to "pretend" to be interested for the kid's sake.

it was bad.  real bad.  the sad thing is, all teachers have had bad lessons.  things can go wrong so quickly in a classroom and sometimes all you can do is watch the train wreck and position yourself for the best view.  or take cover.

but then there are times when you see someone else's class and you see the wreck before your eyes.  the tragedy isn't the wreckage and carnage of one lesson plan.  no.  what hurts him and me is to see a bad lesson and to know that this is just one of a thousand bad lessons.  and that the teacher has no clue nor cares to have a clue.

it was a painful hour for the both of us but i had the good fortune to get to take photos and not have to participate in a horrible exercise of nothingness.  isn't he cute?

Img_2050_1 i can't help the fact that i have been busy lately.  but well, back to school is a busy time of year, and that face i am making, should explain it all.

the title is definitely one of those funny anecdotes between thomas and i where there was some confusion between the meanings of moisturized and lubricated.

i personally feel that i do not need to share the story with you, that you are quite capable of coming up with your own funny stories where one might substitute moisturized for lubricated or vice versa.

let your mind run rampant.  let it think of all the possibilities.  at the end of the day, i am thankful that he opens up all those possibilities with me because, boy, do we have some fun when we talk.
